I am a board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist with more than 25 years in pathology and laboratory medicine, licensed in California. I spent about 20 years as Medical Director of Pathology and the Clinical Laboratory at a county hospital. I continue to practice part time while pursuing select consulting and clinical work. I also contribute to the College of American Pathologists' laboratory accreditation work, mainly by conducting inspections.
I founded Doctor's Doc MD to make the work behind a diagnosis easier to understand. I write about pathology and lab medicine, digital pathology, AI in medicine, and the questions that arise when new tools meet clinical judgment. I am also interested in metabolic health and healthspan. My goal is to explain what the evidence shows, where its limits are, and why the details matter to patients and clinicians.

I consider a limited number of weeks of locum tenens pathology work, hybrid remote slide-review work, and medical laboratory director consulting roles. The fit depends on the clinical scope, location, schedule, and appropriate licensing and oversight arrangements.
