DoctorsDocMD makes pathology and laboratory medicine understandable for patients and families. We are a small, growing lab, and we welcome contributors who can explain their work in plain language.
Who we are looking for
Pathologists and pathology residents. Laboratory professionals - histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, medical laboratory scientists. Other clinicians with a laboratory story to tell. And patient-side voices who can help others understand what a diagnosis journey feels like. In every case: people who can write for patients and families, not for colleagues.
The ask
About one short piece a month, roughly 800-1,000 words, one idea per piece, every technical term explained in plain language. Our team edits each piece for voice and clarity, and Dr. Mohan reviews and approves every edition before it is published.
What you get
Named co-author credit on the newsletter and the site. Genuine letters of recommendation based on your real published work with us. A place in a growing lab, and a public platform to showcase your skills.
What this is NOT
We cannot offer any payment. This is a volunteer spot. Please apply only if that works for you.
How to apply
Email write@doctorsdocmd.com with the subject "Write for DoctorsDocMD". Tell us a few lines about yourself and your background, and one topic you would like to write about first. Dr. Mohan personally reviews every application, and every applicant hears back.
